Have you ever wonder why after uploading a video on YouTube you don’t have as many views as you want. There might be few reasons for that. Take the following steps to optimize your YouTube channel and get more views.
- Include a keyword in your YouTube file name that you want your video to rank for. Make sure that this keyword is relevant to your video content.
- Research keywords that you want your video to rank for. There are many free tools for keyword research. One that we use for YouTube keyword research is Keywords Everywhere. After you install this tool open a video on YouTube that has many views, and you can see on the right-hand side all the keyword tags this video is using.
- You can use some of these tags for your video if the content is similar. To add these tags go to your YouTube channel. Click on manage videos. Hover over the video you want to edit and click details. Scroll down to the bottom, click on Show more. Now you can see the Tags section where you can add tags.
- In this section, add keywords from your YouTube video title, and your video description.
